Building a web presence is an important decision whether you do it yourself or choose someone else there are critical decisions that must be made.

bulletDo you want a simple presence (tell people who you are and provide information about your business)?
bulletDo you want an e-commerce site (to actually sell your stuff on the web)?

Most people are capable of building a basic site if you keep a few things in mind:

bulletDo you have the time?  That in itself is very important.  I can  take all the worry out for a fairly modest fee.
bulletDo you have the computer skills to learn how to build a site?  The skills aren't difficult, especially with the web authoring software that's now available.  This does, however, go back to the time question.

If you want to build an e-commerce site and don't have a LOT of time I highly recommend paying someone else to do it.  This type of site will not be quite as cheap, but if you think you have a product that can be sold on the internet (that can be almost anything) it may well be worth it.

If you want to learn a little more read my article on building a web site by clicking HERE.
